• 29.5.2026 Night driving ban (00-05) for all 17-year-olds
  • The consequence of driving can lead to a fine and a driving ban
  • The person who surrenders the vehicle may also be fined

• Starting from 29.5.2026, the conditions for the age exception permit will be tightened

• 1.10.2026 Risk identification training (RTK) will be expanded to 12 hours (7 theory + 5 driving)
  • Simulator driving for a maximum of half, (2.5 hours)
  • Starting from 1.10.2026, all those taking the driving test are required to have completed the RTK according to the new law, i.e. 7 theory hours and 5 driving hours, a total of 12 hours
  • Important! If you have taken the RTK training according to the old law (8 hours), you must supplement your education to comply with the new law, with at least one (1) driving lesson and three (3) theory lessons. This also applies to those who are taking the re-test and have already taken the driving test before the law came into force. The price of your course package will then increase by approximately €134.

• November 2027: Driving a car weighing 4,250 kg with a B license will be extended to include driving other than driving requiring a traffic permit.
